New Woman From Within

It seems that finally for once in my life,

I broke free from the negativity,

Let go of all the chains that bound me,

I stared at this woman I had become in the mirror,

Nakedly, flaws, scars, heartbreak, fears, no longer scared,

Betrayed, abandoned, alone,

But they would never know,

What it took for me to get here,

In a world that tries so hard not to let each other just live,

Born into this generation bringing about a change,

So huge, so revolutionary that I had to dive in,

I will be that breath of fresh air,

My light will shine so bright,

I will gather up all the lost children,

And we will all take flight,

Thy Father shall protect me,

While I carry out my duty, purpose, and honour, 

As I simply follow my dreams, my visions, live my life,

I Shall love thy neighbor and thy enemy the same,

My legacy will not be accomplished in vain,

I've finally released this new woman from within,

And I tell you the truth, all this strong woman knows how to do is win.
