Up and down,
down and up,
Hard to believe the time is coming for us,
Lord knows I put in the work,
Time flies, but I know what I'm going for,
My purpose, my future,
It never seemed clearer,
Got my eyes opened wide,
No time to hide,
Never terrified,
Nor surprised,
Of the many cruel actions of mankind,
He got bigger plans in mind,

Up and down,

I sip my tea,
Guard my heart and thoughts safely,
Patience is the true recipe,
Endurance and hope adds the flavor,
Prayer is the teabag,
Your spirit is the aroma,
I have learned to seek good karma,

A childhood of being lost,
But now I as a young woman I am found,
And still forever I am learning thus,
And I lead with my heart, my dreams, open arms,
